ANITA VICTORIA M. RAMOS-ANTONINO
Born on January 6, 1950 as the fifth and youngest child to self-made professionals, illustrious yet humble and hardworking parents, Anita Concepcion Meñez and Godofredo Peralta Ramos both from Kalibo, Aklan. Anita Meñez being a pharmacist and Godofredo or Goding, a lawyer, 3 term Congressman, 1st elected Governor when Aklan became a province, 1972 Philippine Constitutional Convention Delegate, Justice to the Court of Appeals; now officially proclaimed as the Father of Aklan.
Anita Victoria or Vicky was born and raised in Manila and studied in St. Theresa’s College, Quezon City; St. Paul’s College, Quezon City and Maryknoll College, Quezon City where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. All throughout her scholastic years, she was a consistent honor student, model student and student leader.
In the early 80’s, she put up her first business and has continued to engage in other businesses which thrive up to today.
Her qualifications and skills have been given recognition by the Avalon Condominium Corporation, Inc. making her Administrator in 1989 and President and Chairman of the Board in 1995. The same recognition has been given to her by Brent International School, as to this day, she holds the distinction of having been Brent International School Parents Teachers Aassociation President for 8 consecutive elective years of, whose membership composed the facultyof the School and the parents of its students who where foreign and local diplomats and expatriates of multi-national companies. She has also since then and up to now been a Director and Trustee of Brent International Schools with campuses in Manila, Baguio, Subic and Clark.
To honor her late father, she has established in 1998 the Godofredo P. Ramos Foundation with focus on health, education and livelihood assistance for the underprivileged people of Aklan.
In 2000, to honor her late mother, she established the Anita Meñez Ramos Dialysis Center for Aklan, the first and only dialysis center in Aklan at that time and giving subsidy to indigent patients needing Dialysis treatment.
The Foundation and Dialysis Center are considered to be her major projects and accomplishments. However, what she considers her highest and most gratifying accomplishment is being the mother of what she values and cherishes the most – her two sons Patrick and Christopher and now “granny” to three grandsons.
Today, aside from her duties as a Director of the Board of Trustees of Brent International School, her time and energy is mostly spent in the promotion of tourism as she is:
