This research paper discusses the community capacity building in the development of homestay programme in five different arreas in Kelantan. The objective of this study is to identify the community capacity in homestay programme based on five domains which has been observed by the researcher. Identifying the suitable training programme which has been provided by the government or relevent agencies towards strengthening the community capacity. More over, looking at different level of community capacity among the homestays subjected to five domains would certainly gives a good result for the community to carry out homestay programme. This study used quantitative approach and using questionaire as a tool to obtain feedback and data collection. Apart from that, interviewing and observation approach were used to support the study result. Data is analysed descriptively by using Statistical Package for The Social Science (SPPS 12 for Windows). The results shows the community participation, community leadership, organisational structure, knowledge and skills and the loving feeling which exist among the community are very important elements in implementing homestay programme. Besides that, the study shows all the training programmes which have been provided should be more aggressive as to ensure the local community have knowledge and skills in planning and implementing homestay programme more effectively.
